‘They are very polite’- Coach Samuel Boadu speaks highly of Hearts of Oak players
The players are humble and always ready to listen to instructions without interjections
The double winning Accra Hearts of Oak Coach, Samuel Boadu has extolled his players, indicating that he admires their submissive and respective attitudes towards authority.
‘’Hearts of Oak players respect a lot, they are obedient and they listen to instructions intently without interjecting’’
Speaking in an interview with Fancy Di Maria on SilverFM’s SportsCenter, the young tactician was of the view that players showing behavior that is respectful strengthens the relationship between Coach and players which creates a good atmosphere for progress at the club.
‘’Despite the level these players have gotten to in football, Hearts of Oak players are humble and always ready to listen to instructions to reach the mark … Without respect one cannot reach there’’

He further explained that tactics and techniques in football help but a healthy relationship between Coach and players motivates players to deliver with no fear of reprimand.
The young tactician led the Rainbow Club to complete this season’s domestic double, winning the Ghana Premier League (GPL) first and crowning it all defeating Ashanti Gold SC 8-7 on penalties to lift the MTN FA Cup last Sunday in Accra ahead of their Africa campaign.
Hearts of Oak have now achieved the double for an unprecedented 6th time; 1973,1979, 1989/90, 1999, 2000, 2020/21.
The victory means the 2000 CAF Champions League winner will be making a return to Africa’s most prestigious club competition for the first time in a decade.
