AFCON 2021 : Ghana must not underrate any team in Group C – Frimpong Manso

Former Black Stars defender and Asante Kotoko legend, Stephen Frimpong Manso, has urged the Black Stars not to underestimate any of their Group C opponents in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The West African country was allocated in Group C alongside, Morocco, Gabon and Comoros in a draw held on Tuesday night in Cameroon.
In an interview on SilverFM, Coach Frimpong Manso believes that Ghana will find it easy to make it out of Group C but topping it is paramount.
‘’Morocco is a very strong side coming into the tournament with quality players …. the same with Gabon and Comoros currently’’

‘’It will be easy to go through but to top the Group is where the difficulty lies’’ he said.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play their first two matches in Yaoundé before travelling up North to Garoua for the final Group C encounter.
The Black Stars will take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the opening match on Monday, January 10 at the Ahmadou Ahijo stadium in Yaoundé. Ghana will then play Gabon on Friday, January 14 before battling Comoros on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
The Black Stars are in search of their first Africa Cup of Nations title since 1982 and Coach Akonnor has been tasked to end the forty – two-year trophy in Cameroon.
The 2021 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled for Cameroon from Sunday, January 9 to Sunday, February 6, 2022.
