Metro Mass introduces new air-conditioned buses
The Management of Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMT) has introduced a set of luxurious air-conditioned buses to its fleet of commercial buses.
According to the company, the introduction of these buses forms part of moves to provide” safe and affordable means of transport to the travelling public”.
In an interview with Silver FM’s Akwadaa Nyame after the launch of the buses, the Cooperate Communication Manager of MMT, George Krobea Asante indicated that the company “appreciates the need to innovate and to provide the general public and especially our valued customers the best of service as means of transport from one destination to the other.”
The charges for the new buses ranges between Ghc 35.00 to Ghc 50.00.
The loading terminals of the buses include areas such as Abrepo, Manhyia, Airport roundabout, Dichemso, Abuakwa, Patasi, Santasi etc.

The Deputy Managing Director (Operations and Technical) of MMT, Mr Richard Osei Banfo said there are lots of these new buses that are expected by the end of this year while broken vehicle that needs maintenance will be fixed. “We have some vehicles here that needs a small repairs that is fixing of engines and tyres which we have already asked neoplan and other mechanics to work on it” Mr Banfo said.
“…As part of Government’s effort to improve public mass transportation, the Ministry initiated processes for the acquisition of buses for the Public Bus Company. The objective is to improve the current bus fleet of Metro Mass company limited.
