Asante Kotoko have announced signing of Inter Allies FC midfielder Richmond Lamptey on a three-year deal that will keep him at Baba Yara Stadium until 2024 , the official twitter space of club reads.
Lamptey joins the Porcupine Warriors after immense display in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League (GPL) for Accra-based side, Inter Allies FC.
The signing, first for Asante Kotoko for this transfer window midfielder , comes in handy as the Reds augment the side ahead of the coming season.
Richmond Lamptey, prior to joining Inter Allies FC , was consistent performer at GPL side WAFA.
He ended the 2020/21 GPL season as one of the best players of the campaign despite his side suffering relegation from the elite division.
The pacy midfielder’s tall stature and energy make him an imposing character on the field and he complements them with clean tackling and ball distribution qualities that make him a fast-rising potential complete forward.
