Adwumam : Residents demonstrate over poor road network
The residents in the community says since the town came into existence the people have not witness a coated road before
Residents of Adwumam, a farming community in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region have expressed worry over the bad nature of their road networks. They complain bitterly over long-standing road which is untarred.
In an interview on Silver FM, they said that politicians have always enticed them with election promises to win their votes but abandon them afterwards.
The residents indicated that, a number of them are die hard supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) but the community have not seen any development including the deplorable road networks.
They further expressed worry over authorities refusing to prioritize their concerns.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Osei Assibey, who spoke to SilverFM also indicated that he cannot dispute the fact that most of the roads linking localities in the district are un-motorable specifically the road network to Adwumam .
He however, appealed to the residents to calm down nerves as measures are in place to address the problem.
“Is true the roads in the area are not in good state. My people deserve to complain but I’m assuring them that it will get solved soon by the government” he told SilverFM’s Nana Peprah
