President Akufo Addo has sent a well-wishing message to Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on the loss of his mother.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s mother, Hajia Mariama passed on yesterday after a brief illness in Accra. She was 82.
Hajia had been unwell and hospitalised for few weeks.
A Facebook post by the President to Veep on the loss of her mom read;
” On behalf of my wife, Rebecca, my family, the Government, and the people of Ghana, I convey deep sympathies to the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on the sad loss of his mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia. I pray for strength for him and his family in these very difficult times. May Allah grant her soul eternal rest and the highest level of Jannah”
The President visited the residence of the Vice President to sympathize with the family.
Nana Addo signed the book of condolence of Hajia Mariama.
Samira Bawumia, wife of Vice President Bawumia also took to her twitter space to pen down a heartfelt message after the painful demise of her in-law.
