2022 WC Qualifiers: Ghana beat Zimbabwe to keep hope alive

The Black Stars of Ghana completed a double over Zimbabwe to keep their hunt for a spot at the 2022 World Cup alive.
A solitary free-kick from Captain of the day Thomas Partey in the 31st minute ensured the Stars move to the top of Group G, pending South Africa’s match against Ethiopia later Tuesday, after beating hosts Zimbabwe at the National Sports Stadium, Harare.
Ghana has 9 points now on top of the standings, 2 ahead of South Africa.

Zimbabwe are out of contention with only a point from four matches with Serbian trainer Milo successfully winning his first two tests with Ghana’s national team after he replaced CK Akunnor.
