A group calling itself Asanteman Nkosuo, NPP Mputuo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have congratulated Sam Pyne for his new position as the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive.
Despite the agitations of Assembly Members after his nomination by President Akufo-Addo in September, the long-serving NPP secretary in the Region polled 55 out of 58 votes on October 5 to become the new Mayor of Kumasi.
The NPP group in the Region led by their Chairman Dr Mohammed Issah Ababio paid a visit to the new Mayor of Kumasi to give him a congratulatory note on his new role.
“Asanteman Nkosuo, NPP Mputuo wishes to use this opportunity to congratulate Hon. Sam Pyne on his confirmation as KMA boss,” Dr Mohammed said.
He added; “Many thanks to the President for the confidence he has in Sam Pyne and the reward he has given to him as the chief executive officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly. This is a treasure to the young and upcoming to be selfless and loyal to the cause of the NPP as a party for there is a reward someday to come.”
According to him, the decision to make Sam Pyne the Kumasi Mayor is an indication that the NPP party rewards loyalty and hard work.
