The 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) begins today Monday, November 15, 2021 across country with a total number of 571, 894 candidates sitting for the examinations at 2,158 centres nationwide.
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has said it has instituted stringent measures against exams leakage in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
Head of Public Affairs at the WAEC’s National Office, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, said the Council is committed to tackling any leakage during this year’s examinations.
She said officials of the National Intelligence Bureau monitored the production process – printing, sorting and packaging of the papers – and was confident that there would be no leakages of the papers before and during the exams.
The 2021 BECE ends on Friday, November 19, 2021.
