Hasaacas Ladies beat LadyStrikers to lift maiden Women’s Premier Super Cup

Hasaacas Ladies emerged winners of the maiden Women’s Premier Super after defeating LadyStrikers 3-2 in a thrilling final at the Madina Astro Turf Sunday evening.

Veronica Appiah grabbed a brace before Edith Ogbonna registered an own goal to make it 3-0 for Hasaacas Ladies gifting the CAF Champions League finalists a well-deserved win at the Madina Astro Turf on Sunday.

Gladys Amfobea reduced the deficit in the 80th minute before Ellen Coleman brought LadyStrikers within one of Hasaacas when smashed a lovely ball into the left top corner in the 86th minute. The comeback was however too late as Hasaacas Ladies held on to win the contest 3-2 at the Zurak Park at Madina.

The Women’s Premier Super Cup is Hasaacas’ fourth in the 2020/21 season in five finals they have participated in with the CAF Champions League being the only trophy to have eluded them in the calendar year.

The initiative is from the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and will be an annual tournament to honour the spouse of the sitting President and this year was for Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
