Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Madrid in perhaps the pick of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League round of 16 ties after the redone draw was made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.
The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League was redone after the original draw was declared void.
UEFA indicated that due to a “technical problem”, which meant Manchester United’s ball was added to the wrong pot, the draw needed to be made again.
The redo took place later Monday at 2pm after Manchester United and Atletico Madrid sought clarification from the governing body over a number of errors made during the initial draw at 11am on Monday morning.
