May 2, 3 declared public holidays – Interior Ministry

The Interior Ministry has officially declared May 2 and 3 as public holidays.
In separate statements, the Ministry indicated that 1st May 2022 which marks May Day (Workers’ Day) is a statutory public holiday but falls on Sunday and hence Monday 2nd May 2022 has been declared an additional public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations fall on Tuesday, May 3 and is expected to be observed as statutory public holiday.
