2022 WASSCE begins today
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for the year 2022 kick starts today, August 1, 2022.
Candidates undertaking project works are first on the list to start the examinations for some 2 weeks before the main papers.
422,883 candidates from 977 schools have registered for the exams. There will be 72 with visual impairment and 14 with hearing impairment.
The Education Minstry indicated that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has moved examination depots close to examination centers by increasing the numbers to reduce the time taken in moving question papers to the examination centers.
The Ministry cautioned candidates and officials to desist from examination malpractices as those caught in the act will be named and shamed.
The examinations ends on the 27th of September.
