NPP has done more to break the 8 -Nsiah Asare
The Presidential Adviser on Health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare has said that initiatives by the New Patriotic Party(NPP) government and massive infrastructural development under the current administration should merit another term to break the eight-year cycle witnessed in the fourth republic.
Dr. Anthony Nsiah touted the Eurojet Projects initiated by erstwhile President Kufuor and the Agenda 111 projects by the current Akufo-Addo administrative which he indicated the government was very determined in its resolve to complete as some of the programmes that he strongly believes the NPP can ‘break the 8’ with.
Speaking on Silver FM’s political programme, dubbed Ghana Ho Nkomo, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) last Saturday, said the government has done enough work to ensure the eight-year cycle witnessed in the fourth republic is broken.
”The goverment’s fulfillment of campaign promises such as Planting for Food and Jobs, Free Senior High School (SHS), 1 District 1 Factory (1D1F), Inner City Roads Project and massive improvements in healthcare delivery can ensure another term which can see the party break the eight” he told Obed Acheampong (Sir Obed).
He believes the quality of healthcare delivery was paramount on the President’s agenda, for which reason Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would not relent on his promises.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has almost ended his second term in government, multiple reports have predicted that power will change hands for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to return but the current administration is working hard to ensure it breaks the eight-year cycle witnessed in the fourth Republic and the former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service is convinced the NPP would ‘break the 8’.
