A/R : Pro-Alan supporters shake Kumasi

Pro supporters of Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, the minister of Trade and Industry, on Saturday August, 13 2022, stage a gargantuan health walk in his name to throw support to him.

Thousands of supporters worn T- Shirts of Alan Kyeremanten, also known in the political cycle as Alan Cash, with inscription:”Aduru Wo So”, which literally means ‘It is your turn’.

The Walk started 5:30am from Bekwai Roundabout through the principal streets of Kumasi and ended at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Some supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), believe it is riped time for Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten to lead the Party to the next general elections in 2024, after contesting the current president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in their previous primaries.

Former MP for Nsuta-Kwaman Beposo, Kwame Asafo Adjei, addressing the gathering debunked the allegations that the health walk was staged to garner support for the Trade and Industry, adding that it was non-political.

It would be recalled that, before the Walk, the National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, came out to appeal to the organisers to halt their plans, saying, “the group will risk the chance of their prospective candidate if they organize the health walk in the name of Alan Kyerematen, because it is against the party’s code of ethics”.

Despite these warning, the group defied it and staged it.

Some former Members of Parliament and ministers under the John Agyekum Kufuor’s Administration were seen at the health walk.
