Kotoko held in Kumasi by Karela

Champions Asante Kotoko SC were held 1-1 by Karela United in the betPawa Premier League
Monday.

The Porcupine Warriors conceded a second half goal to record yet another draw at the Baba Yara
Sports stadium as their winless home run extended to three League matches on the spin.

Mohammed Alhassan and Eric Zeze returned to the starting lineup to face Karela as Abdulai Gazale
made changes to the team that beat Kotoku Royals 3-1.

Rashid Mohammed scored an own goal in the 29 minute after failing to clear a ball from John
Tedeku. But Karela United drew level in the 75th minute through Fatawu Mohammed who got on the
end of Emmanuel Owusu Boakye’s pass.

The draw takes Asante Kotoko to the 4 spot with 48 points – 8 points behind leaders Medeama SC
while Karela United sit in 16 place with 41 points.
